Ugh! Last week was not a good week for me. After attending a fabulous camp conference, I began feeling sick that Saturday and by Monday I was down for the count. I actually missed two days of work! I have been resting, drinking lots of fluids, taking medication and today -over a week later - I am finally starting to feel better. Needless to say, my work this past week suffered so I am in total catch up mode right now!
So - Mid States Camp Conference. It was EXCELLENT! I attended some really good seminars, got some good information, networked with many new and old friends and just got a good recharging for summer camp. It felt so good to finally be back at that conference. Sometimes being in this role, I get separated from camp by other work and I greatly miss it.
This week I am visiting the Roberts Lions Club to talk about camp - and Saturday is our board meeting. Sunday I head out to the Admirals hockey game and next week looks to be just as busy! So perhaps the timing of my plague - for lack of a better term - was pretty good.
We have most of our staff positions filled and are working to fill the last spots which means I am sending out piles of paperwork hiring on our staff. Camper registrations as of Friday was at 964 which is great! We still have room for all populations except diabetes campers. Get forms out and get the word out! We want to fill all the weeks!
Finally our Camp for Kids cash raffle is ready to go! The top prize is $2,500 cash -so if you are interested in purchasing a ticket (or two or three!), please contact our office at 715-677-4969.
Have a great week and here's hoping spring shows up sometime soon!
