March Madness?

Hello everyone! It continues to be extremely busy! We've cleared out a lot of things here at Camp - here's the run down so far:

1. 860 campers registered as of Friday. Ignore my poor math skills for last week - I don't know what I was looking at. 860 is the official number.

2. We've hired the first round of new folks - and agreements went out last week. We continue to work our way through a pile of staff applications - still looking for more male counselors! If you know someone who'd be interested, please let us know!

3. The hockey game on March 27 has hit 351 free tickets for camper families! Wow Admirals. We are fortunate to have such a great organization give us tickets. It should be a great time for all - reminder postcards for those families go out next Monday.

4. Jamie is getting all sorts of cool gear for the trading post. She hopes to have them in the cash register system and up on the website by the end of the month.

5. Our rentals continue to come in - which we are grateful for all of our groups who continue to visit us at camp, see what we do and make plans to return in 2012.

Jamie, Peter and I leave Thursday for THE camp conference of the year - Midstates Camp Conference in Illinois. We are taking our summer administrative staff and are very excited to gather new information or be reminded of oldies but goodies that we can use in our own camp program. It's a great networking opportunity and also gets us charged up for those last few months pushing into summer camp. Believe it or not -we are looking at less than 3 months before staff training! EEEKKK! I've just realized how much work we have left to do.....
